As with most of the assignments for this class, I enjoyed using Prezi. Overall, it is very easy to operate this great tool. It is a creative way to make your thoughts interactive with the audience.
I really like how you can see the entire presentation at one time. When using PowerPoint, it often becomes confusing because you have to click back and forth between slides. Sometimes when using PowerPoint presentations, the creator includes the same information twice or they leave information out because it was thought to be on there.
There are some similarities between PowerPoint and Prezi. Both are used to create presentations for audiences. They also allow you to use text and images as a way to communicate your thoughts. However, when deciding on which one to use I would have to say that I like PowerPoint the best. I enjoy the option of being able to zoom your thoughts to make it more enjoyable, but there are ways to create a PowerPoint presentation that is enjoyable.
After completing the last few assignments, I have learned many ways to make PowerPoint presentations fun. Such as using labels or motion path. Prezi has limits on what you can do. However, with PowerPoint the possibilities are endless.
According to the ISTE NETS S, I would have to say that this activity relates similar to the other presentation activities. It relates to standard #1 by promoting creative thinking using technology. Students will be able to really become active with this presentation. Standard #2 reflects how students can use this as a different type of assessment. Students could also work in pairs, which means they would collaborate together while using technology, this applies to the third standard.
