Click here to see my PhotoStory on YouTube. I thought that Photostory was a great tool use and very user friendly. There are so many things that you could use this type of technology for to teach students.

It is a great tool to reiterate a concept. Also, I want to use this in my health classes. Every year we discuss PSA (Public Service Annoucement) and the different types. The students are then required to create their own. Also, as we talk about drugs, alcohol, and tobacco the students are to create a PSA on each chapter. Some students create a PSA for one the topics and then other students are against it. It causes a debate in class, which also helps students to understand the real, life-threatening consequences of each one.

Looking at the ISTE NET S standards, I would have to say that this project relates to all of the standards in one way or another. This activity relates to standard #1 because it promotes creativity by allowing the students to create their own PhotoStory. It also models collaborative learning between students by allowing them to work together to create a PhotoStory for class. Standard #2 discusses the diverse learning styles of all students. This activity is great for all learners, there is visual and auditory. If a student can create a PhotoStory on his/her own then they are displaying fluency in technology systems, which is part of standard three. Uploading PhotoStory to YouTube to allow everyone to see it is showing students the safe and legal way to use technology, standard four. The last standard relates because Photostory allows students to evaluate and reflect on their research!
